When applying for a Super Visa in Canada, you must provide certain documents to support your application. Here is a general checklist of documents that may be required:

 

• Fill out the Application (IMM 5257) for a Temporary Resident Visa and the Family Information Form (IMM 5645).
• Include recent passport-sized photographs for each applicant.
• Letter of Invitation (LOI) from your child or grandchild living in Canada stating their address, the purpose of your visit, and their commitment to support.
• Proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence of a candidate sponsoring their parents.
• Provide a valid passport or travel document for each person applying.
• Most recent Proof that your children or grandchildren meet LICO (Low Income Cut Off), including bank statements, employment letters, or other proof of income and assets.
• Evidence of relationship with parents or grandparents you wish to bring to Canada.
• Medical Insurance coverage proof with atleast one year of Canadian insurance, covering health care, hospitalization, and repatriation.
• The parents and host for sponsoring should be financially strong to apply for a super visa.
• Meet all the medical and character requirements during your application.
• Parents or grandparents must provide documents showing their ties to your home country, such as employment, family, property ownership, or other commitments, to establish that you will return after your visit.
• Pay the required visa processing fee.

After you Apply for Super Visa

The processing time for a super visa can vary depending on the country you are applying to and the volume of applications. You may be required to provide biometric information, such as fingerprints and photographs. Additionally, a visa officer may request an interview to assess your application further. Once your application has been processed, you will receive a decision regarding your super visa application. If approved, you will typically receive a letter of introduction. This letter will allow you to travel to the country, where you will undergo a medical examination by a designated panel physician before receiving your super visa.
