Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has shared important updates about the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP).
This program is designed to help rural communities in Canada (excluding Quebec) attract skilled workers. IRCC has officially launched the pilot and announced the selected communities.
RCIP provides an opportunity for foreign nationals who:
✔ Can help address labour shortages in designated rural areas.
✔ Are interested in settling and building a long-term future in these communities.
On January 30, IRCC announced that 14 communities had been selected to participate in the pilot.
