AIP has temporarily paused the Alberta Opportunity Stream

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has issued a significant update regarding the temporary suspension of the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) until further notice. AAIP has temporarily paused the Alberta Opportunity Stream on 15th Feb 2024. This pause only affects new applications; existing applications will continue to be processed. Applicants with draft applications or pending payments should be aware that these will not be accepted during the pause. The temporary suspension of AOS allows Alberta to prioritize key industries such as tourism, hospitality, agriculture, construction, healthcare, technology, and other sectors currently facing labor shortages.
